OCA FILMES

We are an audiovisual post-production facility where SOUND and IMAGE are thought as one.

OCA is responsible for films such as the Cannes winners "Invisible Life", "Cinema Novo", and the first brazilian 3D film"Pluft", as well as fiction and nonfiction TV series for different networks.
We bet on working with these two elements as a way to develop new ideas creatively and technically, and thus raise the narrative and artistic potential of each film and facilitate the day-to-day production. In addition to all post-production needs and infrastructure, we know the value of offering a unique treatment to each project . Through a unified post-production process, Oca Filmes meet the needs and desires of directors and and producers.

What we do?

All stages of sound post-production process. We are equipped with 3 sound editing rooms and 2 mixing rooms 5.1 and 7.1 for film and TV.


Color Grading

Color grading and deliveries using a high standard room calibrated for film and TV.

    Our mixing stage for film is 40m2 and have all de necessary equipment, including projector and a big screen. The room is very comfortable with a calibrated sound system that allows us to send the sound mix straight to movie theaters.

    Fernando Aranha
    Sound Editor - Composer Graduated in film and Master in Design (sound design) at PUC-Rio. Worked as a professional musician for many years with established artists. In addition to editing and sound design of important films and TV series, teaches music at AIC (international film academy) and Pro Tools at ProClass. Fernando is also part of the board of directors of Musimagem, an association of composers for audiovisual.

    Bernardo Adeodato
    Sound Editor - Re-recording Mixer Graduated in cinema at PUC-Rio, he developed his audiovisual side, using sound as a narrative tool, working for over 12 years with sound post-production for film and TV. Currently, he also teaches sound design and sound editing classes at the Darcy Ribeiro Film School; mixing for cinema and TV at Pro-Class and AIC (international film academy), in addition to being the curator of the film retrospective, “Sound: the story we do not see”.

    Bruno Armelin
    Sound Editor - Production Sound Mixer Bruno began his career in the production Sound department, working in more than 100 films, with great directors and in award-winning films. He also has experience in post-production sound, having worked as, editor, mixer and foley artist, in projects for TV, short and feature films. He holds a degree in film from Universidade Gama Filho. Founding partner of APSC - Association of Cinematographic Sound Professionals.

    Tomás Magariños
    Color Grading - DCP Graduated in Social Communication - Radio / TV at UFRJ. He have been working with post-production for film and Tv since 2007. He started working as a colorist at Bossa Nova Films, in São Paulo, where he lived for 3 years. In 2014 he returned to Rio de Janeiro to work as a freelance colorist in the film and TVbusiness. He has worked as a colorist in 15 feature films, in addition to several TV series, video clips, short-films and institutional videos.

    Waldir Xavier
    Sound Editor - Image Editor Waldir is an sound designer and editor (image and sound) having participated in more than 60 feature films. He lived in France for 15 years with ecperience in international co-productions, he worked in several countries such as Egypt, Portugal, South Africa, United States, Denmark, Germany and Mexico, having collaborated with filmmakers such as Youssef Chahine, Pedro Costa, Walter Salles, João Botelho, Yousry Nasrallah, Karim Aïnouz and Marcelo Gomes.

    Nina Galanternick
    Image Editor Nina has a master degree on Eco / UFRJ with research on documentaries about art. Works with image editing since 2002, with extensive experience in documentaries, TV shows, fictional series and cinema, having participated in internationally awarded films. She is an editing teacher at AIC and founding partner of edt. - Association of Audiovisual Editing Professionals.
